The Department of Economics is proud to announce that Professor Jeff Edwardson was one of only four instructors from the College of Liberal Arts to receive the Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Teaching Award. Jeff and the other awardees were recognized on 13 October at the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Recognition Reception.
Senior Lecturer Jeffrey Edwardson received his PhD in Economics from Texas A&M University in 2000. He started his academic career at Texas A&M as a Lecturer in 2001 and attained his current rank of Senior Lecturer in 2010. Jeff specializes in Public Economics, Econometrics and Labor Economics. He is a Certified Public Accountant and currently teaches large sections of Micro Principles, Macro Principles and he conducts Directed Studies. He was a Texas A&M University Undergraduate Teaching Academy Mentor in 2011 and he has been awarded “Teacher of the Year in Undergraduate Instruction” for the Department of Economics five times – in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015. The Department has retired Jeff from this competition and has named the award “The Jeff Edwardson Teacher of the Year in Undergraduate Instruction”
